When I was young, throughout my primary and secondary education, I was not sociable at all. I was quiet and always too nice to people. I was always bullied by my colleagues and I never really made any "real" friends. I had low self-esteem and was on the verge of depression during adolescence. Sometimes I was even suicidal.
Until one day I met Rocky, my 3-year-old husky. His enthusiasm for life and respect for strangers inspired me to come out of my shell. I find him adorable and unique. I would defend him without fear and I learned that I shouldn't be afraid to stand up for myself either.
His presence in my life throughout the years has boosted my confidence and given me reason not to give up on life. He is still with me today and I am happy that he came into my life. I have a fatherly love for him. Before going out for a walk, I attach an education collar to him right away, with my phone number and address. People may say I am a little crazy for being so attached to him, but he is my savior and above all my best friend.
