English Spaniel--Narco

English Spaniel

Although I grew up with my parents' dachshund, I never thought about getting a dog myself. I work every day of the week and have very little free time to adopt a dog. In fact, it was my almost 10-year-old son who wanted a dog so badly that I started thinking about it seriously!

I spent some time finding out what breed would go with his age, but especially with our lifestyle. Finally, I went to the SPA. My first reaction was to leave. I could not see myself adopting one of these dogs that barked excessively. It was at the back of the SPA that my eyes fell on Narco, a 3-year-old English Spaniel. When he saw me, he stopped barking as if he wanted to leave with me. It was love at first sight. I took him without even learning about his past.

Since I was new to dogs (I didn't do anything for my parents' dachshund except walk him) I put him on a leash when I took him home. Once home, I put an electric dog training collar on him that I bought online. The first week was a bit rough, but since then, he has become part of the family. We never part with him.
