I adopted my German Shepherd almost two years ago. It was in July 2015 when I went to the SPA in Normandy. To tell the truth, the first week I almost gave up because he was completely unruly. I had already adopted a York and everything went well, while it was really hard for this one. This German Shepherd was left to his own devices. He was hyperactive and barked too much when I left the house. I realized that his behavior is due to his fear of being abandoned again. When I began to understand him, I became more and more attached to him. I took a 15-day leave to help him adapt to his new home. Finally, I used herbal medicine to calm him down. A week later, he was calmer. To be sure, I bought an electric dog collar that allowed me to control him remotely. Today, my dog is part of the family. He is more stable and smarter. When I leave the house, he knows I will be back, and he barks a lot less. I wanted to share my story with those who have just adopted a new dog. My message to them: Never give up! If you have space, adopt a dog !
