Training tips

(1) Keep training sessions short and positive (between 10 and 15 minutes), which will help keep your dog's attention on you.

(2) Train only one dog at a time.

(3) During training sessions, keep your dog in a familiar outdoor environment, such as your yard, and away from other dogs or people. Training in new locations may cause your dog to become distracted, requiring you to use the collar's training modes more often.

(4) Use a long leash attached to a non-metallic collar to aid in training. Make sure the additional collar and leash do not interfere with the receiver's contact points. Do not use the remote training collar without a long leash until your dog is fully trained to stay near you.

(5) You will get more results with a dog that already obeys you on basic commands.

(6) For basic training, vibration and sound modes are best.

(7) Give your dog one command at a time, which will encourage him to focus and reduce confusion. Do not use the collar to correct a command that the dog has not done.

(8) During training, note any positive changes in the dog's behavior and remember to quickly reinforce them with treats or sweet words.
